I can’t use a mouse for extensive work and this problem makes for me Maya useless with Vista. If I stop this service I can no longer use my Wacom pens. I also noticed that Vista automatically detects the Wacom tablet as a writing device and runs a process in the Task manager with the name Tablet PC Input Service. I tried to troubleshoot the problem without any success by turning off all visual effects, using the classic theme, reverting to the previous Wacom driver which made the problem much worse and very obvious. I don’t have these problems when using the same tablet and pens with XP on my old computer. I don’t have these problems with the Wacom mouse that comes with the tablet, the problem is only with the pens and Vista. I have to right click and drag to display the marking menu. The second problem is that the right click doesn’t bring the marking menu. If I tried to move a vertex immediately after selecting it, it doesn’t move - I have to wait a little bit before moving it and then it works. The navigation doesn’t start when the pen starts moving. ![]() Sliders also do not move along with the pen movement. When selecting, the selection rectangle gets redrawn after a have started moving the pen. ![]() In a lot of actions there is some very annoying lag that seems to be random - sometimes it is very subtle and sometimes it is very obvious. The first problem is that the pens are not real time responsive. My video card is Nvidia Quadro FX 1700 with the latest driver. I have a Wacom Intuos2 tablet with two pens - Classic and Grip using the latest driver 6.08-4. ![]() Hi, I upgraded to Vista Ultimate 64 bit SP1, and have problems using my Wacom pens and Maya.
